DUST

FILM CONCEPT ART AND SCREENPLAY

DUST follows the diverging paths of two brothers after the Swedish occupation of Marrakech in 3017. As Morocco struggles to preserve its cities against increasingly powerful sandstorms, the Swedish government boasts of a new Saharan metropolis with an unprecedented defense system. The face of the project is Anders Sorensen, a young architect who has inherited his father’s business as well as his immaculate reputation. Anders’ character is revealed through encounters with his lesser-known brother Henrik in their empty palatial home deep in Marrakech’s medina district. As Henrik’s inconspicuous lifestyle becomes entangled with Anders’ career, personal deceit and political controversy threaten to topple the future of the New City.
