THE WATCHERS
PUBLIC DATA MEMORIAL
Surveillance in South Korea has reached a global all-time high. This poses important questions of who is watching, who is being watched, and who has access to this information. The activation of these architectural characters is the collection and curation of sensory data transformed into earth. The subsequent curation process creates a subterranean world where data becomes a public commodity, and excavated soil is resituated into programmed topography.
